Having grown up by the beach, I always dreamt of living in the mountains amongst the forest.

I was attracted to Nimbin, having read a lot about it and the colourful people that live here. In 2011, I decided to find out for myself so I travelled here for the Mardigrass.

It was a breath of fresh air to experience the open alternative culture. I instantly fell in love with the people and the beautiful sub-tropical landscape. I made some friends and had such an amazing time that once I returned to where I was living I realised how much I missed Nimbin and all the friendly faces. My mind was made up. I sold everything I owned, bought a van to live in and headed back to make Nimbin my home.

I am a professional tattoo artist so it wasn't long before I found myself working in the local studio in town. Four years on, I am the manager of Nimbin Tattoo Studio and am so proud to work with such an inspiring group of talented artists. The studio doubles as a gallery space for our artwork and we encourage people to come in and have a look at the art we have on display. I am so grateful that I can express myself creatively in such a supportive environment.  I love the freedom of being able to custom design tattoos for both locals and people from all over the world.

Working in Nimbin I have met so many interesting people that come here to experience the beautiful landscape and alternative lifestyle that Nimbin has to offer. My artwork is influenced by my meditations and the visions that come from those experiences. My style is a mix of repeating pattern work, Sacred Geometry, Mandalas and explosions of colour. You can find me most days either in the studio tattooing, drawing and listening to my music or sitting in the sun enjoying my morning coffee at one of our local cafes.

I have recently become a member of the local Nmbngee community. This is a dream come true. I am very happy to be part of a community of so many wonderful people and look forward to the adventure that comes with building my own home.

It still amazes me that such a small village can have such a huge impact.

Nimbin is truly magic.
