Open air shopping is a favourite pastime in the Rainbow Region. Each weekend there’s a big, colourful market in one of the towns or villages brimming with fabulous arts and crafts, second-hand bargains, locally-grown organic produce and lots, lots more. There’s entertainment from local musicians and buskers, an array of home-cooked treats and a relaxed, festive atmosphere. A visit to the markets is more than a shopping trip, it’s a unique and highly rewarding day out.
The Nimbin Farmers' Market is held each wednesday afternoon from 3pm. A great opportunity to buy fresh produce with very limited food miles, including bread, meat, vegetables, tofu, cheeses, and other seasonal fruit and vegetables.
