I came to Nimbin with a group of friends for the Aquarius Festival in 1973. Immediately after that extraordinary experience, a group of us decided to pool our finances and buy a piece of land.

I was a founding member of the Nmbngee Community Co-operative at Lillian Rock, and lived on the community for 18 years.

I had the good fortune to work as a registered nurse at Nimbin Hospital for 26 years, a job both challenging and rewarding.

I now live at Jarlanbah Community and have a commitment to community activities both within Jarlanbah and the wider Nimbin region.

Since retiring from nursing 4 years ago I have been able to regularly volunteer some time and energy to the Nimbin Artists Gallery.

The gallery provides me with a venue to display my off beat art and, as a volunteer, gives me an opportunity to maintain a personal connection with locals and visitors.

The volunteers who run the gallery are a mixed bag of locals dedicated to providing a high profile space for local artists, it is a pleasure to be a part of this group.
